Kit Carson Eucalyptus
Oil on Raymar Canvas Panel
8 x 6 inches, $118.75 with shipping and tax
The morning was bright and beautiful, and this tree stood out like a beacon! I looked around for the right spot to paint it, which ended up being in the back of my truck. Take a peek at the generous brushstrokes - try first at the leaves around the lower part of tree.
Creek Fall
I was outside painting last week with a little group - as I showed up, I crossed over a little bridge and saw this glorious water coming down. I love the way the sky gleams off the water and sinks into deeper colors as it approaches me.
These are a combination of oranges from the yard. I really enjoyed loosing the edge of the orange on the left hand side, while identifying not only the orange, but also the very warm light in the shadow area. The combination of organic, metal, and ceramic nearly made me wet my pants. Woo hoo!
Blue Vase
6 x 8 inches
Oil on Raymar Canvas Panel
$118.75, unframed
Here are the blue vase and oranges again. Painting glass, ceramic, fruit are all very compelling...I also love the complements of the blue and orange. Another element that I added to this was the cloth underneath. I think the cloth was very successful. Great stripes.
Bon apetit!
6 x 8 inches, unframed
$118.75 - includes tax & shipping
This painting started off with my desire to not only include our beautiful oranges, but also to arrange them with the combination of glass and ceramic. I included the leaves from the tree, which were originally arranged differently. Toward the end, I wasn't happy with the painting, and decided to make corrections - as I moved the orange leaves, the light fell across them (as it is now) and I was hooked.
